Introduction
CarrierCast (“we”, “our”) provides intelligent carrier capacity matching and dispatch broadcasting for freight brokerages operating on a TMS. This policy describes what information CarrierCast collects, how it is used, and the protections we apply to it.
CarrierCast is a business tool. It is installed and used by licensed members of a brokerage team inside their workplace browser, and all data handled by the service belongs to the brokerage that licensed it.
Information We Collect
Account & Authentication Data
Broker name, corporate email address, and authentication session tokens required to sign you in and keep your session secure.
Integration & Workflow Data
Shipment parameters (origins, destinations, equipment class, weight, rates) read directly from authorized customer TMS screens for the sole purpose of matching and broadcasting capacity.
Communications Data
Outbound carrier offer emails and inbound replies routed through the broker’s connected Microsoft 365 dispatch account. We process these messages to deliver your outreach and log carrier responses.
How We Use Information
We use information exclusively to provide core service functionality:
- Calculating carrier lane matching scores
- Evaluating margin guardrails
- Pacing outbound offer delivery
- Logging carrier responses
We do not use your data for any other purpose without your instruction or explicit consent.
Data Protection & Storage
Data is encrypted in transit via TLS/HTTPS and at rest using modern cryptography.
Multi-tenant data isolation is strictly enforced via PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS). Every query is scoped to your brokerage; no brokerage can read another brokerage’s carriers, loads, history, or communications.
Developer Disclosures & Prohibitions
CarrierCast makes the following explicit commitments, in line with Chrome Web Store and enterprise compliance requirements:
- We do not sell, rent, or trade personal or customer data to third parties, data brokers, or advertising networks.
- We do not use personal data for personalized advertising.
- We do not use data to determine creditworthiness or for consumer or commercial lending purposes.
- We do not use remotely hosted code in the extension. All extension code is bundled and executed locally within the browser.
